Camera vision unit
With automatic taring and sorting in-line in chain conveyor
The camera vision unit CVU is designed for automatic tare value encoding of gas cylinders and to assist high-speed LPG cylinder filling processes (e.g. FLEXSPEED). In fully automatic mode of operation, the captured images are processed by an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system and tare values are directly sent to the MUC of the filling system. In semi-automatic mode of operation, operators can see the captured images through a computer system and enter the tare values.
The CVU can also effectively fulfil various cylinder sort-out requirements to improve operational safety and efficiency. The CVU can e.g. automatically sort out cylinders based on printed dates or according to labels placed on the cylinders. It can be configured to sort out cylinders (before filling) based on physical objects (e.g. hard caps, nuts, protection covers) placed on cylinder valves. Since the CVU can identify e.g. different cylinder shapes and colours and/or dusty and rusty cylinders, different cylinder types can easily be sorted out.
MAKEEN Connect
The system is compatible with MAKEEN Energy's Industry 4.0 Digital Solution, which enables data capturing of the process for remote supervision, performance optimisation, and predictive/preventive maintenance alerts through e.g. a MAKEEN Energy cloud solution (optional).
