In April 2025, we celebrate our 10th anniversary as MAKEEN Energy. In the past decade we have underwent significant growth and expansion. This month we look back on our achievements and changes to acknowledge how far we have come and celebrate our success. Meet some of our MAKEEN'ers who have been with us every step of the way these last 10 years.
This month marks a special milestone: 10 years since the birth of MAKEEN Energy. In just a decade, we have grown from a newly established energy company into a global force, expanding into new markets, pioneering new business areas, and welcoming thousands of passionate colleagues into the MAKEEN family.
But none of that would have been possible without the people who have been with us every step of the way. This anniversary, we are not just celebrating a company, we are celebrating the individuals who helped shape it.
We sat down with four dedicated MAKEEN'ers who, just like MAKEEN Energy, are celebrating 10 years of growth, transformation, and shared purpose. They reflect on how far we have come, what they have learned, and what it truly means to be part of MAKEEN Energy.
From Finance to Leadership in LATAM
Cristina Lima joined MAKEEN Energy in 2015 as a Financial Supervisor in Brazil, eager to be part of a global company and connect with people from different cultures. With a background in finance and a natural curiosity for international collaboration, she quickly found her footing and her passion.
Over the years, Cristina’s role evolved in step with the company’s growth. From focusing on financial reporting, she gradually took on responsibilities within administration, HR, and back-office operations. Today, she leads the Brazilian office as General Manager and supports the development of the wider LATAM region.
Reflecting on her journey, Cristina points to both technical and personal growth, especially in navigating cultural differences and working across borders. One thing that stands out to her after a decade with the company is the strong sense of unity. As she puts it, “We are all gears in the same machine, and each and every one of us is equally important.
Over the years, many things have happened, with the company's continued growth and new opportunities, I have assumed greater responsibility. The best thing about working at MAKEEN Energy is the feeling of being valued. No matter our nationalities or job titles, we all work together at MAKEEN Energy with the same purpose and goals in mind.
Building a People-First Culture
Sudheer began his journey with MAKEEN Energy as an HR-Manager in June 2015. From the early days with a small team in India to becoming a key player in our global HR structure, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s culture and driving its expansion. With a deep passion for building a workplace where people feel valued and empowered, Sudheer has played a pivotal role in establishing a strong, inclusive culture not only in India but across the entire MAKEEN Energy organisation.
Over the years, Sudheer has faced the challenges of scaling up the team. From handling initial recruitment and compliance to launching new business lines and overseeing a team of more than 2,600 employees. Despite the rapid growth, his focus has always remained on the people.
Sudheer reflects on his experience with pride, having watched both himself and the company evolve over the past decade. His journey at MAKEEN Energy has been about much more than just professional success. It is about personal growth too, finding a balance between achieving his ambitions, and being part of an organisation that fosters development, support, and a shared sense of purpose.

Growing with the Supply Chain
When Juliana Leal joined MAKEEN Energy in May 2015 as an import and sales assistant. Over the years, as MAKEEN Energy expanded and evolved, so did Juliana. Today, she plays a key role in managing the entire supply chain, overseeing imports, exports, and stock management; a responsibility that has grown as the company has flourished.
The rapid growth of MAKEEN Energy has mirrored her own professional development, with each new challenge providing an opportunity to learn and evolve. For Juliana, one of the most rewarding aspects of her journey has been the supportive and positive work environment. Over the years, she has witnessed firsthand the remarkable team spirit that permeates every part of the organisation. It is this atmosphere of collaboration and mutual respect that has made her feel empowered to take on new challenges and step into greater leadership roles within the company.
Juliana reflects on her journey with a sense of pride, recognising how far she has come both professionally and personally. Today, Juliana continues to thrive in an environment where people are encouraged to grow, supported every step of the way, and celebrated for their contributions to the company’s success.
What stands out most to me is the incredible team spirit and the energy of my colleagues. Being surrounded by such a positive and supportive environment has given me the confidence to gro. Driving Safety, Building Trust
Navneet Singh Chauhan joined MAKEEN Energy in October 2015 as a QHSE Officer at Facility Management plant in India. 10 years later Navneet leads QHSE for all of MAKEEN Energy India, where he oversees operational safety and mentor teams across 20 Facility Management locations.
His role has grown along the company, yet his focus has remained constant on embedding safety not just as a policy but as a mindset. Further, he takes pride in how employees are empowered at every level. Under his leadership, QHSE practices have become deeply embedded in day-to-day operations that are locally adapted to meet global standards and delivered through practical, people-centred approaches.
For Navneet, the last decade has been about more than professional advancement. It has been about building trust, driving cultural change, and helping people engage in safety and making it an integral part of who they are and how they work.
